Our client, a very large privately held Conglomerate headquartered in Los Angeles, has engaged us to bring them an International Tax Manager.
This is a newly created position due to the tremendous growth of the company!
This opportunity will report directly to the leader of International Tax. The company has a very good hybrid work from home policy and offers a strong compensation package for this new teammate.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in managing the overall international tax compliance functions by collaborating with an external service provider to review the US international tax returns.
- Manage and collaborate with external service providers for local country income tax compliance engagements.
- Manage and collaborate with external service providers for VAT reporting across over 40 countries and prepare the VAT tax returns on an as needed basis.
- Manage and collaborate with external service providers for transfer pricing studies from the various foreign country perspectives and the US perspective, and calculate the transfer pricing adjustments on an as needed basis.
- Interact with internal business units to provide information requested by external service providers
- Assist in reviewing the year-end (foreign) income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740.
- Assist the Head of Tax and International Tax Senior Manager for the Company’s international expansion from the tax perspective.
- Assist the Head of Tax and International Tax Senior Manager for the global structuring and planning from the tax perspective.
- Assist the Head of Tax and International Tax Senior Manager in the Tax Team’s pursuit of the international credit and incentive opportunities.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & PREFERRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree in Taxation or a related field is a plus.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Public Accounting and/or Private Industry, with some international tax experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Ability to manage relationships with external service providers.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent PC skills, including advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with a large ERP system is a plus.
- Ability to solve problems and take initiative, highly motivated.
- Team player.
